Jon Tan / silo / Blue Beanie Bowler Day (ran from 2008–2010)

In honour of Jeff Zeldman’s blue beanie day for web standards, and in a typically British twist, the incorrigible Jon Hicks popped on a blue bowler via Twitter in 2008. What a great idea. I thought I’d share mine. In 2009, Kevin Cornell drew a new beanie so the bowler has changed to be a poor interpretation of his characteristic style. In 2010 we did it again, but we called a halt in 2011. Feel free to still use the blue bowler .png vector if you like and add yourself to the official Flickr group.
